Help Bihar

Just came across an innovative site to help Bihar Flood victims. Shows how one can contribute without actually spending anything or being physically present by spending just 60 seconds of one's time. Just have to answer simple questions, and sponsors will pay to the NGO on your behalf. Kindly spread the word.

Voluntary Youth Association to Serve the Society(VYAS)

Hearty Congratulations to all of us on the First edition of our VYAS news-letter.
VYAS, a trust started by group of like minded people. This process was initiated on July 2006 -was called as Project India Reform. After getting the assent from the board, it was registered/legalized on Feb 2007.

VYAS stands for Voluntary Youth Association to Serve the Society. VYAS is now almost 8 months old. We are currently 27 active & enthusiastic members, working solely in serving the under-privileged class including education, medical assistance, bringing health, social and cultural awareness. The motto behind this trust is to develop a healthy India.

The two factors that are affecting our countries' growth are lack of education and lack of health care. We have two pillars laid, one for education and the other for medical aid. The prime motto of the education wing is to provide "Education to All". This concentrates on education to under-privileged kids, interested in education but not able to pursue because of financial crunch and family situation.

We had a very successful start - by helping couple of kids in pursuing their primary education. We have also funded a student in pursuing her engineering. We are slowly growing big by aiding some more kids. We have taken them on top of our list. Our Parallel focus was on health. The medical wing aiding kidney transplantation and for open heart surgery for a kid.

Though we are into the micro level activities, our vision is to reform India by serving the society in a big way.
